Quick Answer

Safely receiving a mini PC in Tsakane means checking box condition before signing, reading the spec sticker on the unit base to confirm your order, and running a power-on test while the packaging is intact. Evetech stocks mini PCs from R3,500 (Intel N100) to R16,000 (Ryzen 9), with the R8,000–R12,000 Ryzen 5/7 range being the most popular for work and light gaming.

Pre-signature inspection in Tsakane

Tsakane is in Ekurhuleni's East Rand and is served by Courier Guy and RAM Couriers. When the driver arrives, check the waybill tracking code against your dispatch SMS. Inspect all sides of the carton — mini PC boxes are compact and light (under 2 kg), which means corner dents or torn tape can signal internal movement. If the box looks damaged, write "damaged packaging" on the Proof of Delivery before signing, and photograph the damage with the waybill visible in the same frame. This note is essential if the unit arrives faulty.

Unboxing and spec verification

Open the box on a dry, stable surface. Remove the mini PC and accessories: for a Beelink SER5 Max (Ryzen 5 5500U), expect a 90 W adapter and HDMI cable; for a Ryzen 7 8845H model, a 120 W adapter. Read the base sticker carefully — confirm CPU, RAM (typically 16 GB DDR5 on mid-range units), and SSD size (512 GB NVMe is standard at R10,000–R12,000). If any field does not match your order confirmation, photograph it and contact Evetech support before first boot. Connect to a monitor and power on: BIOS or Windows setup should appear within 30 seconds.

Performance guidance for Tsakane buyers

For school and home-office use, an Intel N100 mini PC at R3,500–R4,500 covers document editing, web browsing, and video calls. For light gaming — Minecraft, CS2, Valorant — a Ryzen 5 mini PC at R7,500–R9,000 reaches 60–80 fps at 1080p medium settings. Ryzen 7 models at R12,000 push to 80–100 fps in the same titles and also handle 1080p video editing in DaVinci Resolve smoothly.

FAQ

How many business days does Evetech delivery take to Tsakane?

Tsakane is in Ekurhuleni, so Evetech deliveries typically arrive 2–3 business days after dispatch. Courier Guy and RAM Couriers are the main carriers on this route.

Can I use a mini PC for gaming without a dedicated GPU?

Yes, within limits. Ryzen 7 8000-series mini PCs feature RDNA 3 integrated graphics capable of 60–100 fps in eSports titles at 1080p medium. Demanding AAA titles at high settings require a dedicated GPU, which mini PCs do not support.

What should I do if the Windows activation key does not work on my new mini PC?

A new Evetech mini PC should activate Windows automatically on first internet connection. If activation fails, check that the unit has not been pre-activated with a different Microsoft account — contact Evetech support with the product key label from the box if issues persist.

TIP

or EXPO in the BIOS on first boot to ensure your DDR5 RAM runs at its rated speed — some mini PCs ship with RAM defaulting to a slower JEDEC profile.
