ROG Ally X for Inanda residents accessibility and delivery needs a practical check before you shortlist anything. Compare fit, compatibility, warranty support, timing, and total setup balance for South African buyers.
The ROG Ally X ships from Evetech to Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2–3 business days via standard courier. It runs an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU with RDNA 3 graphics, achieves 60–80 fps on AAA titles at 1080p medium, and is priced at approximately R16,999 at Evetech. For portable PC gaming in the greater Durban North area, it is the most powerful Windows handheld currently stocked locally.
Inanda is a peri-urban community north of Durban in the eThekwini metro. Evetech uses national courier partners and most KwaZulu-Natal addresses receive delivery in 2–3 business days. Confirm your specific street address is accessible to courier vehicles — include unit number and street name for best results. If your address has access restrictions, Evetech's support team can advise on a nearby collection point before you place the order.
The Ally X carries 24 GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD — upgrades over the base Ally that reduce loading times and allow more games stored locally. The 7-inch 1080p touchscreen runs at 120 Hz, giving fluid visuals whether gaming or navigating Windows 11. The AMD RDNA 3 iGPU allocates up to 8 GB of shared VRAM and handles most modern titles at 1080p medium with FSR upscaling enabled. The 80 Wh battery is the largest on any current Windows handheld.
Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p medium with FSR 2 Quality: 50–60 fps. Hogwarts Legacy at medium: 55–65 fps. Esports titles like Valorant and CS2 hit 120+ fps. The 80 Wh battery provides about 2.5 hours of intensive gaming or up to 5 hours on lighter sessions. Charging via the included 65 W USB-C adapter takes roughly 90 minutes from flat.
At R16,999, the Ally X is pricier than most gaming laptops in the R8,000–R14,000 range but serves a distinct purpose. A laptop offers a larger keyboard and screen for study tasks; the Ally X is optimised for gaming anywhere without a desk. Inanda residents who need a device for both study and gaming may find an R12,000 gaming laptop more practical. Those specifically wanting handheld console-style PC gaming will find the Ally X uniquely capable.
