Rog Ally X Delivery To Mamelodi What To Expect needs a balanced check of fit, comfort, compatibility, warranty, and real setup needs. Use this cautious guide to compare options before buying in South Africa.
Evetech delivers the ASUS ROG Ally X to Mamelodi, Pretoria East, in 2–3 business days. The device costs approximately R14,500, runs the Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU, and targets 60–100+ fps in popular gaming titles. Orders placed before noon on weekdays dispatch the same day from Evetech's Johannesburg warehouse.
Mamelodi is a high-density township east of Pretoria in the Tshwane Metro. National courier services reach Tshwane Metro addresses in 2–3 business days from Johannesburg. Provide a valid street address with unit or stand number, not just a section designation. The ROG Ally X ships in a compact ASUS retail carton (under 2 kg) — no special oversized handling. A signature is required on delivery for all electronics orders above R1,000; ensure someone is available at the address during business hours.
Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU: 8-core, 12-thread, RDNA 3 integrated graphics. 24 GB LPDDR5 RAM. 1 TB NVMe SSD. 7-inch 1080p/120 Hz display. 80 Wh battery (3–4 hours AAA gaming, 5–6 hours lighter use). Expected FPS: Valorant/CS2 at 1080p: 100–130 fps. Forza Horizon 5 1080p medium: 55–70 fps. Elden Ring 1080p medium: 40–55 fps with FSR upscaling on. At 720p with FSR 3 enabled, most games reach 60+ fps comfortably in Turbo mode.
Students at the University of Pretoria (Hatfield campus, about 15 km from Mamelodi) and Tshwane University of Technology benefit from the ROG Ally X as a combined study-and-gaming device. It runs Windows 11 Home with full access to Microsoft Office, MATLAB via student licences, and all PC gaming platforms. The 1 TB SSD stores both academic software and game libraries.
Evetech uses tracked national couriers with signature-on-delivery and parcel insurance for orders above R5,000. The ROG Ally X ships in sealed manufacturer packaging. Keep the original box for 14 days after receipt in case a return or warranty claim is needed.
Yes — the Ally X runs full Windows 11 Home and is compatible with all academic software used at South African universities, including Microsoft Office, MATLAB, AutoCAD Lite, Python environments, and Adobe Creative Suite. 24 GB RAM ensures multitasking between coursework and gaming runs without slowdowns.
For most students, 1 TB is sufficient — it holds academic software and 15–20 installed games. If you're a media or engineering student working with large project files, a microSD card (up to 1 TB) or replacing the M.2 2230 internal SSD with a 2 TB drive (~R1,500) is a straightforward expansion.
— confirm your delivery address includes street name and stand number; UP and TUT students should note that the ROG Ally X handles all university software on 24 GB RAM with no additional upgrades.
