Brits running local LLMs build under R20,000

Brits buyers planning a running local LLMs rig with about R20,000 to spend want every rand working toward the actual workload, not a flashy part that looks good on a spec sheet. The right mix here is the one that stays smooth in real use and is easy to service locally.

Quick Answer

For a R20,000 running local LLMs build in Brits, centre the rig on a RTX 5070 Ti 16GB and a Ryzen 7 7700 with 64GB DDR5. VRAM decides which models fit: an RTX 5070 Ti with 16GB runs quantised 13B-parameter models comfortably, and 64GB system RAM lets you offload larger models to CPU when needed.

How To Split A R20,000 Budget In Brits

Local LLM work is gated by GPU VRAM first and system RAM second. Buy the most VRAM you can, pair it with 64GB RAM, and use a fast NVMe to load multi-gigabyte model files quickly. A local-LLM workstation sits around R19,000 to R20,000.

FAQ

What does a good running local LLMs build cost in Brits?

A local-LLM workstation sits around R19,000 to R20,000. Prices shift with the exchange rate, so confirm the current figure on the product page before you commit.

Is there a cheaper alternative that still performs?

32GB RAM and a 12GB GPU still run 7B models well and trim about R3,000 if your budget is tight. It is the smart trade-off when the full R20,000 budget is out of reach.

Can Evetech deliver a complete build to Brits?

Yes. Evetech couriers fully assembled and tested systems to Brits, so you receive a working machine rather than a box of parts to wire up yourself.
