Before you start, gather these simple, safe, and essential tools. Having the right gear on hand is the most important step to ensure a damage-free clean.

• A set of soft makeup brushes: A large, fluffy powder brush is perfect for large areas, while smaller eyeshadow brushes are great for intricate details like hair and clothing folds.
• A handheld air blower: The kind used for cleaning camera lenses is ideal for blowing dust out of tight crevices. Avoid canned air, which can sometimes spray propellant.

3. The Spot Clean (For Smudges & Marks)

If you notice a small smudge or fingerprint, lightly dampen a cotton swab with clean, lukewarm water. Squeeze out any excess water—the swab should be damp, not wet. Gently rub the affected area in a circular motion. For most minor marks on either stylised Kawaii figures or detailed statues, this will be enough to clean it off.

4. The Deep Clean (Use Sparingly!)

This method is for very dirty or sticky figures only. A figure can become sticky over time due to plasticiser leakage, a natural process that can be accelerated by heat. To fix this, mix a few drops of mild dish soap into a bowl of lukewarm water. Dip a soft cloth or a cotton ball in the soapy water, wring it out thoroughly, and gently wipe down the entire figure. Immediately follow up with a separate cloth dampened with clean water to "rinse" off any soap residue. Let the figure air dry completely in a dust-free area, away from sunlight. This should be done with extreme care on high-detail scale figures.
