Delivery to Krugersdorp

Krugersdorp is in the West Rand of Gauteng within Evetech's standard courier zone. Monitors ship double-boxed with foam corner inserts to protect the panel during the courier journey from Johannesburg to your door. A delivery signature is required for all monitor shipments.

1440p Monitor Performance: What to Expect

A 1440p panel at 27 inches delivers 109 PPI — a clear step up from 1080p's 81 PPI — with sharper textures in open-world titles and more readable UI elements in competitive games. For an RTX 4070 driving 100–150 fps at 1440p High settings, a 165 Hz IPS panel (R6,499–R7,999) fully utilises that frame rate headroom. At 240 Hz (R8,000–R9,999), you need an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XT to consistently exceed 180 fps in demanding titles.

Panel Type Comparison for Krugersdorp Buyers

IPS (recommended for most): 1–3 ms response, ~800:1 contrast, accurate colour, 178° viewing angles. Best for mixed gaming and work use. VA: 3,000:1+ contrast, richer blacks for dark-room gaming, but potential motion smearing at 4–8 ms on budget panels. OLED (R10,000+): infinite contrast, sub-1 ms response, most immersive — but costs a premium. For Krugersdorp gaming budgets, IPS offers the safest combination of performance and value.

R5,999–R7,499 is the sweet spot — IPS 1440p 165 Hz with FreeSync Premium. This pairs well with GPUs from RTX 4060 up to RTX 4070 Super and covers both gaming and productivity use without overspending.

What cable do I need for 1440p at 165 Hz?

DisplayPort 1.4 handles 1440p at up to 165 Hz without any bandwidth limitations. HDMI 2.0 manages 1440p 144 Hz; standard HDMI 1.4 only does 1440p 60 Hz. Check whether a DisplayPort cable is included in the monitor box — many budget models include only HDMI.
