How to safely receive a gaming laptop should be shortlisted around the job it must do. South African buyers should compare CPU, GPU, RAM, and screen quality, warranty path, and upgrade room before treating any pick as best.
For a gaming laptop delivered to Sebokeng, inspect the carton before signing, verify the GPU, CPU, and display refresh rate on first boot, and report any defect to Evetech. Sebokeng is in the Sedibeng District. Gaming laptops at Evetech start at R8,000 for GTX 1650 entry models; an RTX 4060 Laptop delivering 100+ fps at 1080p starts at around R18,000.
Sebokeng is about 60 km south of Johannesburg, serviced by courier depots in Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark. Use a complete address — stand number, street name, and a landmark — to ensure door delivery rather than a depot hold. If a delivery attempt fails, the nearest Vereeniging Aramex or RAM branch is accessible for collection during business hours.
Gaming laptop boxes are larger than standard parcel sizes — ensure someone is available to receive and handle the carton.
On first boot:
A GTX 1650 at R8,000–R10,000 handles 60 fps at 1080p Medium in Fortnite and CS2. An RTX 4060 at R18,000+ delivers 100–130 fps at 1080p High in the same titles.
Confirm the power adapter is present and its wattage rating matches the laptop spec. Gaming laptops typically require 120 W to 230 W adapters — a standard 65 W laptop adapter will not sustain charge under gaming load. Test the adapter LED indicator on first plug-in.
For solid 1080p performance at 60+ fps in most modern titles, budget R12,000–R16,000 at Evetech. This range covers RTX 3050 or RX 6600M GPUs paired with Ryzen 5 or Core i5 processors and 16 GB RAM. For 100+ fps at High settings, step up to R18,000+ for RTX 4060 Laptop class hardware.
Contact Evetech support with your order number and screenshot evidence (Device Manager screenshot showing GPU, System About page showing CPU/RAM). A spec mismatch — where the delivered GPU or CPU differs from what was ordered — is treated as an incorrect goods supply under CPA and entitles you to a correct replacement.
Log a return or warranty claim from Returns & Warranty in your Evetech account. For returns, refunds and warranty claims, see our Returns and Warranty policy.
your gaming laptop in Sebokeng, navigate to Display Settings > Advanced Display and switch the refresh rate to 144 Hz — every gaming laptop Evetech ships defaults to 60 Hz, and correcting this single setting transforms how responsive the machine feels in both gaming and everyday use.
