Quick Answer

Safely receiving a mini PC in Nyanga requires a pre-signature damage inspection, a spec-sticker check against your Evetech invoice, and a first-boot test on delivery day. Evetech mini PCs run from R3,500 for Intel N100 models to R14,500 for Ryzen 7 8840U units — knowing your ordered spec makes verification fast.

Pre-signature checklist in Nyanga

Nyanga is in Cape Town's south-eastern suburbs and sits on the Courier Guy and Aramex coverage maps for Western Cape deliveries. When the courier arrives, match the waybill to your dispatch email or SMS. Inspect the carton on all sides: mini PC boxes are typically 220 mm × 220 mm × 100 mm and weigh under 2 kg — light enough that drop damage often shows as compressed corners or cracked edge mouldings. Any damage must be noted on the Proof of Delivery before signing. Write "damaged packaging" and photograph the area clearly with the waybill label in the same frame.

Unboxing and verifying your mini PC

Unbox on a clean, dry table. Remove the unit, identify the power adapter (check the wattage label — 65 W is standard for low-power Intel chips, 120 W for Ryzen 7/9), and count all accessories against the packing list. Flip the unit over and read the spec sticker: it lists CPU, RAM, and storage. A Ryzen 5 8500G unit should show 16 GB LPDDR5 and 512 GB NVMe; Intel N100 models typically show 8 GB LPDDR5 and 256 GB SSD. If anything does not match your order, photograph it before contacting Evetech. Then connect to a monitor and power on — the unit should POST within 25 seconds.

SA buyer guidance for mini PC performance

For document work and video calls, an Intel N100 mini PC handles tasks comfortably. If you want integrated graphics capable of smooth 1080p video playback and light gaming, the AMD Ryzen 5 range with RDNA 3 graphics hits 45–60 fps in titles like Minecraft Java and CS2 at low-medium settings — look at the R7,000–R9,000 tier. Ryzen 7 models at R12,000–R14,500 add enough headroom for light video editing in DaVinci Resolve.
