Affordable Mini PC options for Thokoza buyers

Quick Answer

Affordable Mini PCs at Evetech start at R3,500 for Intel N-series compact desktops and reach R8,000–R12,000 for Ryzen 7 8840HS models with Radeon 780M iGPU. Thokoza buyers on the East Rand (Ekurhuleni, Gauteng) get nationwide courier delivery in 2–4 business days. A R6,000–R8,000 Mini PC with 16 GB LPDDR5 handles office tasks, study, and casual gaming — a space-efficient alternative to a full desktop tower.

Entry Tier: R3,500–R6,000

At R3,500–R6,000, Mini PCs use Intel N100 or N305 with Intel Iris Xe graphics, 8–16 GB LPDDR5, and 256–512 GB SSD. Office apps, web browsing, streaming, and lightweight gaming at 30–60 fps are the typical use case. Power draw is 10–20 W at idle — economical for always-on desktop use. VESA mounting behind a monitor saves desk space in small East Rand rentals.

Mid-Range: R6,000–R12,000

At R6,000–R12,000, AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS or Intel Core Ultra 5/7 models provide meaningfully better performance. The Radeon 780M iGPU in the Ryzen 7 8840HS hits 30–50 fps in CS2 and Fortnite at 720p–1080p low settings — playable for casual competitive gaming. 16–32 GB LPDDR5 and 512 GB–1 TB NVMe SSD are standard at this tier. For Thokoza buyers who need a combined home office and casual gaming machine, this tier is the sweet spot.
