Receiving a gaming chair safely in Alexandra means inspecting the flat-pack carton before signing, verifying all components against the parts list, and testing the gas cylinder and tilt mechanism within 24 hours. Evetech delivers gaming chairs to Alexandra in 2–4 business days. Entry gaming chairs are priced from R2,500 at Evetech; ergonomic premium models reach R6,500.
Gaming chairs ship flat-packed in large cartons — a typical 120 kg-rated chair arrives in a box roughly 90 x 55 x 35 cm, weighing 22–30 kg. Before signing, check the carton for crushed corners, wet patches, or impact tears. If the carton is significantly damaged, photograph it with the courier present and note it on the delivery slip before signing.
For Alexandra addresses in complexes or security estates, add the access code or a contact number in the delivery notes at checkout. Missed deliveries redirect to a PUDO point in Alexandra or Sandton — avoiding this saves a day.
Unbox on a clean floor. Lay out all components and match against the manual's parts diagram: seat pan, backrest, armrests (left and right), five-claw base, gas lift cylinder, tilt plate, and the hardware bag with bolts, washers, and tool. A missing hardware bag is the most common issue — sort it before discarding the carton.
Assemble following the manual sequence — frame alignment is critical. After assembly, sit in the chair and test the gas lift by adjusting height twice rapidly. If the chair drops slowly under body weight within 30 seconds, the gas cylinder is faulty — report within 7 days for a warranty replacement.
Entry chairs (R2,500–R3,500) offer fixed armrests and a 100 kg weight rating — adequate for 1–2 hour sessions. Mid-range (R3,500–R5,500) adds 3D adjustable armrests and a 120 kg weight rating. Premium ergonomic chairs (R5,500–R6,500) include adjustable thoracic support and 10,000-cycle gas cylinder warranties — worth the premium for 5-plus hour daily sessions.

A standard gaming chair delivery should include: seat pan, backrest, armrests (left and right), five-claw caster base, gas lift cylinder, tilt plate mechanism, and a hardware bag with bolts and assembly tool. Verify all parts before discarding the carton — missing pieces require a parts request to the supplier.
Gaming chairs with 3D or 4D adjustable armrests start at approximately R3,500 at Evetech. At R4,000–R5,000, you get 4D arms (height, width, depth, and rotation adjustment) plus a 120 kg weight rating and adjustable lumbar depth — a significant comfort step over fixed-arm entry models.
