Evetech delivers student laptops to Katlehong, East Rand, in 2–4 business days via courier. Student laptops start at R8,000 — an AMD Ryzen 5 model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD at around R9,500–R11,000 covers every university task from Zoom lectures to dissertation writing.
Katlehong is a large township on the East Rand between Germiston and Thokoza. Evetech's courier partners cover the area on standard Gauteng routes. Supply a full street address with postal code (1431) and a mobile number for the driver. Gauteng orders typically arrive within 2–3 business days from dispatch; Katlehong addresses on the eastern fringe may add a day depending on the courier's route schedule.
For a Katlehong student commuting to the University of Johannesburg, Wits, or a TVET college, the key specs are: at least 8 GB RAM (16 GB preferred for multitasking), 256 GB SSD minimum (512 GB for Engineering or Architecture), and a battery life of 6+ hours to handle a full day on campus without charging. The R9,000–R11,000 tier at Evetech covers AMD Ryzen 5 5625U or Intel Core i5-1235U processors — both score above 8,000 in Cinebench multi-core, handling spreadsheets, Python scripts, and browser tabs simultaneously. If your NSFAS allowance is R5,200, it covers roughly half the entry-level cost — supplement with any additional bursary funds.
Check the outer box for damage before signing the waybill — laptop displays are susceptible to corner impacts. Power on and verify: every keyboard key, the trackpad (including multi-finger gestures), the display (use a white background to reveal dead pixels), USB-A and USB-C ports, Wi-Fi, and the webcam (for Zoom). Any defect within 48 hours qualifies for a repair or replacement under the Consumer Protection Act — contact Evetech support with photos and your order number.
Activate Windows with your product key, connect to your home Wi-Fi, and download Microsoft 365 free via your university student email.
