A high-airflow case can last through several PC builds when its frame, panels and ports remain sound. Fans, filters and front connectors may need service sooner than the chassis. South African conditions do not set one lifespan; dust, humidity, heat and handling differ from room to room.

Inspect serviceable parts each season

The GAMDIAS AURA GC11 costs R400 in the verified facts. The Antec AX1000 costs R800 and the Evetech REEVE costs R1,300. Check current stock, materials, mesh design, included fans, connector layout and warranty. These prices do not establish a fixed service life.

Clean filters before dust mats the mesh and forces fans to speed up. Power down before inspecting blades, bearings and cable strain. Replace a noisy or stalled fan instead of discarding a sound case. Front USB ports can wear from repeated pulls, so unplug devices by the connector rather than the cable.

Record CPU and GPU temperature during the same demanding task every few months. A rising result may point to dust, fan failure or dried cooler compound rather than the enclosure. Keep the case when it still fits the motherboard, GPU and cooler while maintaining safe temperatures. Replace it after structural damage, broken mounts or clearance limits make the next build unsafe.

Inspect screws, panels and filters during each component upgrade so small damage does not carry into the next build.
