Encoder choice, processor or GPU load, cooling and internet upload matter more to OBS performance than an oversized wattage label.
Size power from the streaming build
List the processor, graphics card, motherboard, storage, capture hardware, fans and USB devices. Check the graphics-card recommendation and allow sensible headroom for sustained sessions. Confirm the PSU fits the case and includes every required CPU and GPU connector. Efficiency, protection features and warranty deserve attention alongside capacity.

Buy a PSU that supports the verified component list and future upgrade, not OBS in isolation.
