For Black Friday planning, a mini PC home server is worth shortlisting early so the deal price is judged against real needs. The Minisforum NAB6 Lite is R4,150, while UM750L and AI-X1-255 sit around R4,600, giving SA buyers clear reference points.
Getting a mini PC home server sorted before the Black Friday rush means you know exactly what you want when the deals land, and the Minisforum UM750L at R4,600 is a proven all-rounder to plan around.
The UM750L at R4,600 offers a Ryzen 5, 16GB and a terabyte, an ideal home server for file sharing, backups and streaming that suits most households. Knowing this pick in advance stops you grabbing the wrong box in the heat of a sale.
Households planning to store more or run heavier tasks can shortlist the NINKEAR M8 at R8,350 for its Ryzen 7 and roomy drive. Those after a leaner starter can note the NAB6 Lite at R4,150 as a lower-cost entry to keep on the list.
Deciding on the machine and the drive early means you compare on genuine value rather than a rushed impulse buy in rand. Evetech couriers each unit with warranty and quick delivery, so once you choose, it arrives ready to set up. A clear plan also stops a flashy discount from tempting you into the wrong box. The best deal is only a deal when it is the machine you actually set out to buy.
Prepping a home server before the sales? > Tell Evetech your storage plans and we'll shortlist the right mini PC.
Yes, a home server is a sensible mini PC role when compact size, tidy placement and steady daily availability are more important than tower expansion.
Use Black Friday to compare the actual listed model, included storage, memory and warranty instead of chasing the biggest discount label.
Confirm the ports match your router, external drives and display before a sale timer pushes you into the wrong configuration.
The R4,150 to R4,600 examples set a useful baseline, so a higher deal should earn its place through practical extras.
A Black Friday server buy should favour reliable everyday storage, network access and quiet running over flashy features that the home setup will not use.
Replace the main box only if the sale model solves the server task better than adding a drive, hub or simple accessory.
