A high-airflow case is worth buying for local AI image generation when long GPU runs create sustained heat and the current enclosure restricts cooling. Airflow does not increase graphics memory or model support. The case must fit the GPU, cooler, motherboard, PSU and storage while staying acceptably quiet.
Design the cooling path around the GPU
The Palit RTX 5060 8GB graphics card is a verified reference at R4,800 for a compatible desktop. Confirm current framework support and whether the intended models fit its graphics memory. Run the longest representative batch and log GPU temperature, fan speed, noise and generation time before replacing the enclosure.
The Deepcool CG330 case is a verified reference at R770. The Gamemax Aeris 330 mATX case is verified at R650. Check current GPU clearance, cooler height, fan positions, filter access, motherboard support and front-panel connections. Price and mesh styling do not prove better cooling.
Plan clear intake and exhaust paths, keep cables away from fans and avoid placing the tower against a wall or inside a closed desk cupboard. Clean filters on a recorded schedule and retest the same AI batch after assembly. Buy a new case when measurements show restricted airflow or poor fit; keep the current enclosure when safe temperatures and noise already meet the workload.
